Origins of Tha Movement

Jim Allen and Today's Youth

In 2006 I formed the Supreme Executive Advisory Council which was an initiative centered around community activism. The SEAC honored various community, religious, social, recreational, educational, medical, legal, and political leaders on the West Sides of Chicago through our "Community Awards Ceremony". The SEAC has honored: St. Rep. Deborah Graham, Ald. Emma Mitts, Ald. Ed Smith, Brad Cummings (The Voice Newspapers), the late great Delores McCain (Austin Weekly News), Congressman Danny K. Davis, Commander Al Wysinger, Ald. Sharon Denise Dixon, Dr. Felicia Stewart (George Rogers Clark), Marcelle McVay (Victory Gardens Theater), Commander Walter Green, Almetris Snulligan-Stanley (WYTEC), and the late great Brenda Parks-Johnson MD (West Suburban Hospital and Circle Family Ministries) to name a few.....

In 2009 the SEAC became Tha Movement, which broadened our scope of community activism in the areas of not only Recreation, Journalism, and Education, but also Youth/Young Adult Gang Violence Prevention initiatives.

Tha Movement continues to serve as one of the leading THINK-TANKS relative to Youth/Young Adult Gang Violence Participation and Prevention. Our services has been sought out by various Law Enforcement Agencies in Illinois and Washington D.C.

As leader of Tha Movement I have been interviewed by various Radio Talk Show hosts WVON 1690AM in Chicago (Kendall Moore Show, Emilie and Friends, Monique Carridine Show, and Lenny McAllister Show) also WOL AM 1450 in Washington DC the (Wendy Wright Show), not to mention the various Local and National Newspapers, Blogs, and Television Stations Tha Movement has been featured in and on.

As leader of Tha Movement we shall remain pro Law Enforcement as we continue working with Religious, Fraternal, Sorroral, Economical, Educational, Legal and Political organizations and institutions!

Best Wishes,

Jim Allen, Minister
